For the past 35 years, Steve Goodman, founding director of the Educational Video Center, has helped students develop their voice to tell their stories. Their stories are powerful, hopeful and provocative.  A number of these stories have been captured in Steve’s new book entitled, It’s Not About Grit: Trauma, Inequity and the Power of Transformative Teaching.

During this special evening, Steve talk about his learning and share clips from student documentaries linked to the e-book.  Several of the students will be part of a panel discussion.

There will be a book signing at the conclusion of the evening.
